STIFF: PLAY. NO RESTRICTIONS

During my 3rd year of the BA program, we had the opportunity to collaborate with Art kino in Rijeka for the Student International Film Festival (STIFF). The festival's theme that year was "PLAY. NO RESTRICTIONS." As part of the collaboration, we were challenged to design a captivating poster for the event, along with a range of accompanying merchandise such as movie passes, stickers, bags, and booklets. As well as banners and animated posters. It was an exciting project that allowed us to showcase our creativity and contribute to the festival's vibrant atmosphere.

In honor of this theme, I decided to create a poster with a fantasy theme. I decided to draw an illustration with many motifs that represent playfulness and fantasy.
When choosing the design, I wanted everyone who sees my illustration to feel a sense of nostalgia and encouragement.
Even as adults, we should remember to look back to the past when we were more open to playfulness. I want to encourage anyone who sees this design to look back to their inner child and remember that anything is possible. And to strengthen their confidence in themselves that nothing is static and that it takes a bit of imagination to become the best version of themselves.
